On Monday, the best time to post on Threads is 7 AM to 9 AM Eastern, when a typical post picked up about 130 engagements. 9 AM was the single strongest hour, at 139.
That comes from 22,799 of the best-performing Threads posts by 13,940 creators, 3,313 of them published on a Monday. The honest headline: Monday is not a magic day, and no day is. The hour you post is what moves the numbers.
Every hour of Monday, by engagement
Each bar is one hour of Monday in US Eastern (ET). By "engagement" we mean the likes, replies, reposts, and quotes a post collects, added together. Each bar is the typical, or median, Monday post published in that hour.
The highlighted bars are the best three hour run of the day, 7 AM to 9 AM Eastern. The quietest hour on Monday is 1 AM, at about 60 engagements, so the gap between the best and worst hour of a single Monday is 79. That is far bigger than the 11 that separates the best and worst day of the week.

How Monday compares to the rest of the week
Monday came out on top of the seven days, but only just. A typical Monday post picked up 92 engagements, and the quietest day, Wednesday, still managed 81. Look at how close the bars are. Every day, weekend included, sits within 11 engagements of every other, so picking Monday over any other day buys you very little. We would rather tell you that than sell you a magic day.
The hour is the real lever
On Monday, a post published in daylight hours, roughly 7 AM to 6 PM Eastern, typically picked up 110 engagements. Overnight it was 71. That is the gap worth planning around, and it holds on every day of the week, not just this one.
So the practical advice for Monday is short. Aim for 7 AM to 9 AM Eastern, or 9 AM if you only get one post out. Then look at the full study across all seven days and, once you have posted for a few weeks, at your own numbers.

How we worked this out
We analysed 22,799 of the best-performing Threads posts by 13,940 creators, published between 2025-06-14 and 2026-06-13, drawn from the trending posts ElvenFlow tracks. 3,313 of them went out on a Monday. For each post we took its publish hour in US Eastern (ET) and its engagement, then took the median for every hour of every day, so a handful of viral posts could not skew a result.
Two things worth being straight about. These are already strong posts, so the study shows when good writing tends to go out, not a guarantee for any one account. And an hour with only a few posts behind it is noise, not a signal, which is why we ignore any Monday hour with fewer than 100 posts when picking the best and quietest slots.
