1. ElvenFlow

Best for: Growing on Threads with AI

ElvenFlow is built for growing on Threads, not only for posting there. It learns your voice from your own posts, drafts replies to your comments for you to approve, and finds posts in your niche worth commenting on, which is how new people find you.

It schedules single posts, full threads, images, video, and carousels into your best times. Auto-Plug adds a reply with your link once a post passes the likes, views, reposts, or replies you set, and counts the clicks. Auto-Repost shares a post again after it goes live, and Evergreen publishes your best posts again weeks or months later.

Analytics show views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and engagement rate for every post, plus a follower count saved once a day. Posts can also go to Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, and Tumblr, and you can run it from Claude through MCP. One plan costs $49/mo, or $490/year with 2 months free, and each extra account is $24.50/mo.

Pros: Growth tools that work on Threads, AI that writes like you, and every feature in one plan.

Cons: No free plan, just a 7-day trial with a card, and no app to download, though it runs in your phone's browser.

2. Buffer

Best for: A free plan across many networks

Buffer is one of the best-known schedulers, and it covers eleven platforms, Threads included, from one calendar. You can schedule single posts and threads of up to 25 posts, with images, video, or carousels, and an Insights dashboard sums up how they did.

The free plan covers three channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, refilled as they go out. Essentials costs $5 a month per channel, Team costs $10 a month per channel, and the AI Assistant comes on every plan. There are iOS and Android apps too.

On Threads, Buffer's own help center lists gaps. Best time to post is not available for Threads, and you cannot schedule quotes or reposts, create polls, or add GIFs or alt text. Connecting Threads needs a linked Instagram account, and threads of several posts cannot be scheduled from the mobile app.

Pros: A real free plan, low per-channel pricing, and wide platform coverage.

Cons: Its own docs say best time to post and scheduled reposts are not available on Threads.

3. Metricool

Best for: Free Threads analytics

Metricool is an all-in-one social media tool with a strong focus on analytics, and its free plan covers Threads. You get one brand, 20 scheduled posts a month, and 30 days of analytics. LinkedIn and X are not on the free plan.

For Threads, you can schedule single posts and link up to 80 posts into one thread, with images, video, or links. The Threads analytics chart your follower growth and profile views, and list the views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, and shares for every post.

An AI assistant runs on monthly credits per brand: 5 on Free, 20 on Starter, and 35 on Advanced. Starter starts at $20 a month billed yearly for up to 5 brands, and X is an add-on at $10 a month per account.

Pros: Detailed Threads analytics on a free plan, and pricing by brand that suits agencies.

Cons: AI comes in small monthly credit packs, and X costs extra.

4. Typefully

Best for: X-first writers

Typefully is a calm, focused writing app for X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon. Its Threads integration is native, so you can schedule text, images, video, and GIFs, and get AI suggestions, ideas, and rewrites for your Threads posts on paid plans.

It is strongest on X. Its help center files auto-plugs, auto-DMs, and auto-retweets under engagement tools for X, and paid plans add detailed X analytics. Its analytics page lists Threads among the platforms you can track.

There is a free plan for getting started, and paid pricing scales with the number of social sets you connect. The pricing page loads its prices in the browser, so check the site for current numbers before you compare.

Pros: A clean editor and a strong X workflow, with Threads included.

Cons: Its engagement tools are built for X, not for Threads.

5. Later

Best for: Brands posting to Instagram, TikTok, and Threads

Later is a social media planner for brands. It supports Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Threads, and Threads scheduling with auto-publishing comes on every plan. Your Threads posts can carry text, links, images, or video.

Threads analytics are included, with history that grows by plan: up to 3 months on Starter, 1 year on Growth, and 2 years on Scale. The AI caption writer and ideas tool also come on every plan, using credits: 5 a month on Starter, 50 on Growth, and 100 on Scale.

There is no free plan, but every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Starter costs $18.75 a month billed yearly, for one social set of 8 profiles and one user.

Pros: Broad network coverage, with Threads scheduling and analytics on every plan.

Cons: No free plan, and the Starter plan gets few AI credits.

6. BlackTwist

Best for: A cheap Threads and Bluesky scheduler

BlackTwist is built for Threads and Bluesky, and it is one of the cheapest ways to schedule there. The free plan gives you 15 posts a month, basic analytics, and the Engager, a reply inbox that gathers your comments so you can answer them in one place.

Starter costs $72 a year and adds unlimited posts, media, and MCP access for AI assistants. Creator costs $150 a year, about $12.50 a month, and adds advanced analytics, best time to post, and auto-repost. It also includes AI Studio, which builds a profile from your own posts and drafts in your voice, with 80 AI credits a month. Agency costs $828 a year for unlimited connected accounts.

You still write your replies yourself in the Engager. And it covers only Threads and Bluesky, so any other network needs a second tool.

Pros: Low prices, a real free plan, and tools made for Threads.

Cons: You write every reply by hand, and it posts to two networks only.

7. Threadify

Best for: Native mobile apps

Threadify calls itself a lead generation agent for Threads. It drafts posts, threads, and replies in your voice from a knowledge base you build, called Brain, and it reads the replies on your posts to flag people who may want to buy from you. You approve every follow-up before it goes out.

It has native apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. Creator costs $19 a month and covers Threads and LinkedIn, with 30 days of analytics. Founder, at $99 a month, adds premium AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, X cross-posting in beta, Auto Plug, Auto Repost, best-time scheduling, and growth insights. Operator costs $199 a month.

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial of Creator, and it needs a card. You can also run Threadify from Claude or another MCP client.

Pros: Native apps on every device and a focus on finding leads in your replies.

Cons: Most automation sits on the $99 plan, and the voice needs a knowledge base first.

8. Publer

Best for: Budget scheduling, priced per account

Publer is a low-cost scheduler priced per social account. Its free plan covers 3 accounts with up to 10 scheduled posts each at a time, though X is not included on it.

Professional starts at $5 a month for one account and adds threads of up to 25 posts, unlimited scheduling, and bulk scheduling. On Threads you can post images, videos, and carousels, and share each Threads post to your Instagram Story automatically.

Business starts at $10 a month per account and adds unlimited AI Assist, analytics, best times to post, and post recycling. Professional comes with a 7-day free trial and Business with a 14-day one.

Pros: Very cheap to start, and you pay only for the accounts you connect.

Cons: AI, analytics, and best times all need the Business plan.

9. Hootsuite

Best for: Big teams across many networks

Hootsuite is a social media suite for teams and large brands. Threads works on every plan: you can schedule and auto-publish posts at suggested times, and reply to public Threads comments from the shared inbox.

Its Threads analytics cover engagement rate, impressions, likes, replies, quotes, reposts, and shares for each post, plus followers and profile views. An AI assistant on every plan drafts, recommends, and analyzes, and Listening on the Enterprise plan can search Threads for mentions.

Plans start at $99 a month for Standard, billed yearly, and Professional starts at $199. Each paid plan has a 14-day free trial with no card needed, and there is no free plan.

Pros: Deep analytics, a shared inbox, and room for large teams.

Cons: The highest starting price here, and more than most solo creators need.

10. Hypefury

Best for: X creators adding Threads

Hypefury is a scheduling and automation tool with features like Tweetshots built around X, and it posts to Threads too. You can schedule from the composer to X and Threads together, or set some queue slots as Threads-only so those posts skip X.

The Flexible plan costs $6 a month for one channel, plus $6 for each extra platform. The Full plan costs $19 a month with every channel, cross-posting, autoplugs, smarter analytics, and AI trained on your posts. Both start with a 7-day free trial and no card, and there is no free plan.

Its site does not spell out which of those features, like autoplugs or analytics, work on Threads. If Threads is your main platform, ask before you buy.

Pros: Cheap to start, with automation built for people who post on X first.

Cons: Its Threads features are not documented in detail.

11. Postiz

Best for: Open source and self-hosting

Postiz is a scheduler for more than 30 channels with a built-in AI agent, and it is open source. You can use the hosted cloud service, or run it on your own server with Docker under the AGPL-3.0 license.

Threads is one of its channels, and you can create entire threads there. Analytics pull per-channel and per-post numbers from each network's own insights API. The AI agent drafts posts on every plan, every plan gets a few AI videos a month, and AI images start on the Team plan.

Paid plans start at $29 a month, or $23 a month billed yearly, and every plan has a 7-day free trial.

Pros: Open source, self-hostable, and AI on every plan.

Cons: If you host it yourself, you handle updates, backups, and app approvals.

How do you choose a Threads tool?

Start with your goal, then check what each tool does on Threads itself, not only on its list of networks. These six steps cover it.

  1. 1. Decide where you want to grow. If Threads is your main platform, pick a tool whose best times, replies, and reposting work on Threads. If it is one network of many, a wider tool like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Metricool may suit you better.
  2. 2. Check what works on Threads itself. A tool can list Threads and still skip features there. Buffer's own docs, for example, say its best time to post is not available for Threads.
  3. 3. See how the AI learns your voice. Some tools learn from your own posts, some need a knowledge base first, and some sell AI in monthly credits. Check if a few drafts sound like you.
  4. 4. Count the replies, not just the posts. Replies are where conversations start on Threads. A reply inbox saves time, and drafted replies you approve save more.
  5. 5. Work out the real price. Prices can grow per channel, per social set, per brand, or with a higher plan for one feature. Price the setup you expect in six months.
  6. 6. Test it with a real week. Use the free plan or trial to schedule a real week of posts. Then keep the tool you still want to open.

The tool is only half of it. Our study of the best time to post on Threads shows which hours work, and our study of how to go viral on Threads shows what top posts have in common. For the daily habits, read our guide on how to grow on Threads.
